Technical Projects and Central Follow-up Section

The section consists of two units as follows:

A- Studies and Technical Projects Follow-up Unit is assigned to manage the following tasks: -

  1. Following up the licensing round programs (supplement to the 5th and 6th licensing rounds) and subsequent rounds.
  2. Following up technical replies in coordination with the D.G. assistants, technical divisions and departments concerned with correspondence of the Minister and the Deputy of Oil Ministry for Upstream Affairs.
  3. Following up implementation of the timetable for completion of technical projects and studies and providing monthly work situations which involve detailed situations of all current and future projects, which cover the following projects: -
  • Exploration and evaluation drilling project.
  • Technical support project.
  • Seismic crews rehabilitation project.
  1. Following up the committees meeting minutes inside and outside the company.
  2. Identifying the obstacles of technical work for all technical projects, studies, and following up processings.
  3. Reviewing technical studies before being signed by the Director General.
  4. Conducting field visits to work sites and following up implementation procedures of all works related to the technical divisions and departments in accordance with the company’s work plan (Field Operation Division, laboratories building project, the residential complex building project in Al-Waziriya, Engineering Department, Materials Department, the Stores Section and Air Transport Section).

B - The Projects Management Unit is responsible for managing the following tasks: -

  1. Preparing reports of the detailed situations for all the company’s current and future projects, as in the following current projects:
  • Laboratories building project.
  • Residential complex building project in Al-Waziriya.
  • Following up the company’s profits.
  • Following up the problem of radioactive contamination and the remaining distributions of Al-Nahrawan lands to the company’s employees.
  1. Preparing a log for incoming and outgoing data.
  2. Following up the meeting minutes of the committees formed in the company.
  3. Conducting field visits to work sites and following up implementation procedures of all works related to the company’s departments and divisions as in clause (7) within the tasks of the Studies and Technical Projects Follow-up Unit.
