Under the slogan “You are the power for change and development”, the Oil Exploration Company holds its annual ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day..

Under the auspices of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, the company held on Mon. 4/3/2024 in Muhammad Fawzi Hall at the company’s headquarters a ceremony of International Women’s Day, in honor of the role of Iraqi women in development and progress.

The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas M. Ali, and the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Hussein S. Odeh, in addition to a group of the company’s female employees.

 The Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs gave a speech in which he highlighted the role of women in raising the level of productivity and progress in oil sector, and praised their leadership abilities and effective contribution to strengthen development and developing the country’s infrastructure, despite the challenges they face.

 For his part, the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs gave a speech celebrating Iraqi women, pointing out that they represent a symbol of success and determination, and are considered one of the most important tools for change and development in society. In the context of facing the challenges of difficult circumstances, the Iraqi women did not stop pursuing their ambitions and achieving successes in various fields.

This ceremony comes as part of a series of efforts made by the company to appreciate and honor the role of Iraqi women, and to enhance their position in work and economic development.
