The OEC is Holding a Workshop to Develop the Seismic Survey Method

  The Oil Exploration Company, in cooperation with the Schlumberger Company, organized a joint workshop on (development of the seismic survey method) on Tuesday, January 24, at the Nineveh Hall at the company's headquarters.

A number of directors of authorities and specialists from the processing department participated in it, and it included a review of VSP vertical seismic techniques and the method of using them in interpreting seismic data to serve the exploratory goals of our company, as well as their role in developing solutions to the challenges facing reservoir management.

The workshop concluded with inputs and discussions about the importance of this technology and its applications in oil sites and fields inside and outside Iraq and came up with recommendations that serve the exploratory work, and an emphasis on the keenness of the senior management in the company to develop work tools and the expertise of the specialized staff to keep pace with development and modernity in the field of seismic survey through cooperation with international houses of expertise, including Schlumberger Company.
