Special Committee for Monitoring Employee Conduct Gives Awareness Lecture to Seismic Crews 7 & 8 on Combating Corruption
To implement the national strategy for Anti-Corruption and Enhancing Awareness of Employee Conduct, the Special Committee for Monitoring the Procedures for Informing Employees and Persons Charged with Public Service of the Code of Conduct visited Seismic Crews 7 & 8 in Nineveh Governorate. During the visit, an awareness lecture was given under the title “The Role of the Code of Conduct in Reducing Corruption Crimes” targeting members of the two crews.
The lecture was delivered by Senior Legal Advisor, Ms. Sarah Saleh Radhi, Head of the Subcommittee in Oil Exploration Company. It covered several important topics, including introducing Code of Conduct No. 1 of 2016 and its first amendment, and stating workplace taboos referred to in State Employees Discipline Law No. 14. In addition, corruption crimes were explained based on Article 1 of Commission of Integrity and Illicit Gains Law No. 30 of 2011 as amended, and stating the disciplinary and penal sanctions resulting from the crime of leaking official documents. Further, human rights were highlighted in accordance with the Iraqi Constitution of 2005 and applicable laws. These efforts come within the directives of the Federal Commission of Integrity, senior management, and the Ministerial Committee to Inform Employees Assigned to Public Service of the Code Of Conduct, with the aim of enhancing transparency and integrity in state work and reducing practices that may lead to corruption.
