Seismic Crew 6 Completes Naft Khana 2D Program in Record Time

Within the contracts of the fifth licensing round signed by the Ministry of Oil, the staff of Seismic Crew 6 of Oil Exploration Company (OEC) was able to complete the “Naft Khana” 2D Program in Diyala Governorate, achieving a completion rate of 100% in a record time. The program took 83 days to implement, where 660.1 km/length were completed out of a total volume of 770.1 km/length, with 15,420 energy points recorded, where the implementation rate within the planned period was 144%.

OEC Director General, Mr. Osama Raouf Hussein, expressed his appreciation for the great efforts made by the technical staff to make this distinguished achievement, stressing that the work was admired and appreciated by the Chinese Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation, which praised the high efficiency and distinguished commitment of Seismic Crew 6 since the beginning of the project. At the end of his statement, the Director General expressed his pride in this achievement, which is an important step towards achieving more successes in future projects, pointing out that these achievements contribute to strengthening Iraq's position in the oil exploration sector.

It is worth noting that the first part of the Naft Khana Program has been fully completed by Seismic Crew 6, while Seismic Crew 1 continues to implement the part related to 3D seismic surveys to achieve the comprehensive exploration objectives of the project.
