OEC Organizes Specialized Lecture Entitled “Advanced EOR Application”

As part of its efforts to enhance skills and develop scientific and technical capabilities, Oil Exploration Company (OEC) organized a lecture entitled Advanced EOR Application on Monday, 7 January 2025, in Mohammed Fawzi Hall. The lecturer, Ms. Sarah Sagban Kadhim, presented the lecture in the presence of Head of Exploration Research and Laboratories Department, Mr. Asaad Murtadha Basha, and a group of employees from Geology and Geophysics Division and Information Management Department.

The lecture dealt with a number of important topics, as it initially reviewed primary and secondary oil extraction methods, then moved on to discussing tertiary extraction methods in detail. The lecture included a detailed explanation of the different tertiary extraction methods, supported by illustrative images. The attendees showed great interaction with the topics raised, stressing the importance of such lectures in raising the level of knowledge and exchanging technical and scientific expertise within the Iraqi oil sector.
