OEC Organizes Awareness Lecture on Combating Human Trafficking

Within the commitment of Oil Exploration Company (OEC) to organize awareness lectures and seminars to address negative social issues in the Iraqi society, Training and Development Department in OEC organized today an awareness lecture entitled "Together Against Human Trafficking", at Mohammed Fawzi Hall at OEC headquarters, in the presence of Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Hussein Shuwail Odeh, and a number of OEC employees.

The lecture was delivered by the Head of Training and Development Department, Mrs. Rawaa Abdul Razzaq Nima, and included several axes, including: combating human trafficking and the importance of adopting awareness-raising and training programs to combat human trafficking effectively, as well as the need to apply anti-human trafficking laws, enhance their effectiveness and qualify employees working in the authorities implementing the relevant laws.

The lecture also focused on the importance of enhancing cooperation with international and local civil society organizations and caring for and protecting displaced Iraqis. The lecture witnessed wide interaction by the participants, as it was dominated by an atmosphere of fruitful discussions and interventions that positively enriched the topic. This activity comes as part of OEC’s continuous efforts to support the society and raise awareness about important humanitarian issues.
