OEC Implements External Audit Tour for Quality Systems

On Sunday, 8 November 2024, Oil Exploration Company (OEC) implemented the first annual external audit tour (surveillance) for its approved integrated management system. The tour was preceded by a meeting chaired by OEC Director General, Mr. Osama Raouf Hussein, in the presence of DG deputies and heads of the main divisions and departments.

The Director General began the meeting by welcoming the external audit team, stressing the importance of these tours in following up on the effectiveness of implementing integrated management systems, which include quality, health and safety, and environment systems. He explained that the main objective of these operations is to enhance performance and ensure continued adherence to quality standards to maintain accreditation certificates, which remain valid for three years unless non-conformities that affect the effectiveness of the system are reported.

The Director General also stressed the commitment of the senior management to implementing integrated management systems by providing the necessary resources and following up on the effectiveness of operational procedures. He pointed out that OEC is one of the leading companies in adopting quality systems and obtaining relevant accreditation certificates.

At the end of the meeting, the Director General expressed his appreciation to the external audit team for their efforts, stressing OEC readiness to receive any comments or recommendations with the aim of addressing them and improving performance, thus ensuring its full readiness for future audits.
