Ministry of Oil Discusses Investment Opportunities with ADNOC

The Deputy Minister of Oil for Distribution Affairs, Mr. Ali Maarij, chaired a meeting today, Wednesday, with representatives of the Emirati company "ADNOC" to discuss means to develop the oil industry.

The meeting was attended by Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Mr. Osama Raouf Hussein, Director General of Reservoirs and Field Development Directorate, and representatives of Basra Oil Company, Thi Qar Oil Company and Midland Oil Company, and the relevant directorates in the Ministry.

The meeting witnessed a review of investment opportunities available within the framework of the work of Iraqi extraction companies, and a discussion of the best ways to choose the most appropriate investment opportunities. A number of projects that would enhance bilateral cooperation and achieve mutual benefit were also discussed, in addition to improving the level of oil production and enhancing sustainable development in the sector.
