Integrity and Anti-Corruption Subcommittee in Oil Exploration Company Holds Awareness Seminar on Preventive Measures to Combat Corruption

The Subcommittee for implementing the National Strategy to Reduce Fraud and Combat Corruption in Oil Exploration Company held an awareness seminar in the Engineering Department on Tuesday, 5 November 2024. The seminar was delivered by Ms. Zahraa Basil Ismail, Ms. Sarah Saleh Radhi, and Mr. Adnan Ali Adnan, and addressed a set of basic topics to enhance integrity and transparency in the company.

 

During the seminar, the necessary administrative and penal preventive measures to combat corruption, the importance of the rules of employee conduct in protecting the public service, and defining human rights in accordance with international conventions and national legislation were reviewed. The attendees also discussed the Integrity Law No. 30 of 2011, as amended, with a focus on the causes and effects of corruption crimes, and the phenomena and risks associated with implementing the national strategy.

 

The role of the Citizens Affairs Section in implementing the national strategy was also mentioned, with a detailed presentation of the section’s work and tasks and its achievements in the field of anti-corruption. This meeting comes within the efforts of the company’s senior management to enhance transparency and integrity in the work environment, affirming its commitment to applying the highest standards of professional conduct and supporting national efforts in anti-corruption.
