HSE Department Organizes a Lecture about “Sustainable Path for Biogas Production from Petroleum Oily Sludge by Anaerobic Co- Digestion Process Followed by Reusing The Residual Digestate in Concrete Mix”
Within a series of scientific lectures organized by Health, Safety and Environment Department in cooperation with the Training and Development Department in OEC, a lecture entitled “Sustainable Path for Biogas Production from Petroleum Oily Sludge by Anaerobic Co- Digestion Process Followed by Reusing The Residual Digestate in Concrete Mix” was held on 22/7/2024 in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Hussein S. Odeh, and a number of the company’s employees.
The lecture was presented by the Manager of the HSE Department, Mr. Hassan S. Jasim. The study discussed how to produce a pure energy from harmful oil waste with a low cost and in an environmentally friendly manner. The results showed the possibility of producing environmentally friendly biogas, in addition to processing oil industrial waste in a sustainable manner, and reducing the use of natural resources.
The lecture witnessed a great interaction from the attendees, as it included discussions and proposals aimed at enhancing interest in improving and preserving the environment.
This lecture comes within a series of valuable lectures presented by HSE Department, aiming at increasing knowledge, enhancing environmental awareness, and supporting the company’s efforts to achieve sustainability.
